Raindrop Technique

Raindrop Technique blends basic massage techniques for the spine with a carefully chosen, layered sequence of eight Young Living Therapeutic-Grade Essential Oils.

The purpose of Raindrop Technique is to:

  • boost the immune system,
  • stimulate every organ, gland, muscle and bone of the body at a cellular level,
  • assist the body to come into structural and electrical balance, and
  • enable the release of toxins and physical or emotional imbalances wherever they may be lodged.

Essential oils used in the Classic Raindrop Technique include Oregano (immune system), Thyme (anti-microbial), Basil (voluntary muscles), Wintergreen (bones & joints), Marjoram (involuntary muscles), Cypress (lymphatics & circulation), Peppermint (anti-inflammatory) and the Valor blend (balancing).  Other oils may be subsitituted for your specific needs.

The oils are first applied to the spinal reflex points of the feet using a specialized Tibetan method called Vitaflex.  This stimulates the entire nervous system.  The oils are then applied directly to the spine using a Lakota Native American feathering technique that further stimulates the nervous system to drive the oils into all areas of the body.  Additional massage strokes are utilized to loosen the muscles around each spinal joint.  A warm or cold compress is applied to the spine to support deep integration of the oils.

Clients should be well hydrated by drinking 8 ounces of before and after the session.  Session will begin with a height assessment and conclude with 10 minute rest and a re-measurement.  Due to the aroma of the oils and their continuing effects on the body, schedule to allow for rest afterwards.
