Full body massage provides therapeutic benefits to all the systems of the body. It is no longer considered a luxury expense but instead is an important aspect of any wellness plan.
What types of conditions benefit from massage?
Massage is focused on the muscular systems of the body. However these systems are also tightly integrated with the nervous, respiratory, circulatory and immune systems.
How do I schedule a session?
Most massage therapy sessions are 60 or 90 minutes long. This provides enough time for the body and mind to switch from the “doing-ness” of our busy lives and focus on the “being-ness” needed to allow for self healing.
Scheduling a massage every 4 to 6 weeks trains the body to a rhythm for release and renewal. For chronic conditions, a schedule of every 1 to 2 weeks may be recommended to re-educate the neuromuscular systems.

What can I expect?
On your first visit you will complete an intake questionnaire to communicate your health history and preferences. As we review it together we can discuss your treatment goals. Essential oils may be selected and soft music will be started. We will review the session plan and answer any questions.
After the therapist leaves the room you will undress to your comfort level and lay on the table under warm flannel sheets. The therapist returns in just a few minutes to make sure you are comfortable and guide you through the session.
Depending on your needs and the agreed upon session plan, the therapist may work with your head, neck, arms, hands, hip, thighs, legs, feet, back and/or abdomen. Draping of the overall body is always securely maintained as each individual area is uncovered for massage.
Using organic vegan oils or lotions and therapeutic essential oils you will experience the healing nature of touch with therapeutic massage of your muscles. The therapist will gently guide you through the process of relaxing and breathing. Gentle two way communication will used to ensure that you are informed and at choice during the entire session.
At the completion of the session the therapist will leave the room and you may take a few minutes to integrate the work into your being. Then you will gently arise and dress while you drink clean water to hydrate and flush your body. Open the door and your therapist will return for a final review of the session to answer any questions.
